Expert Bio
Russ was born in Long Beach, California and raised in Southern California where he spent weekends going to the beach and frequent family camping trips to the nearby mountains.
After his family relocated to Homewood, Illinois (just south of Chicago) Russ embarked on his first overseas trip to Amsterdam and Germany for a German high school class. Russ knew then he was hooked on international travel.
Upon graduation from Homewood-Flossmoor High School, he enrolled in a six month travel agent course and then was hired as a full time agent by Paul Klein Travel in 1977.
Russ has traveled to the South Pacific, Tahiti, New Zealand and Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Nepal, Africa, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. He has visited dozens of European countries and travels there as often as possible, most often planning his trips around the opera schedules.
Russ loves outdoor activities, biking and hiking. He is always in search of a beautiful beach. Renting a convertible and driving the ocean’s coast while listening to opera or classical music is one of his favorite past times.
Russ lives on the north side of Chicago in the historic Sheridan Park neighborhood, and will often weekend away in London or Paris to keep abreast of new exciting hotels, concerts, fabulous restaurants, museum exhibits and his great love, The Opera. Russ has the distinction of having stayed in every Virtuoso hotel (and others) in Paris and London...his 'second cities".

Interests & Specialties
For over 50 years, Ultra Luxury Travel
Expert Bio
Juergen was born in Rostock, Germany, which became the German Democratic Republic after World War II. He left the occupied zone shortly after the war and settled in Munich, where he studied History of Arts and Journalism at the University of Munich.
Juergen came to the United States in 1954, not necessarily on a permanent basis, but with the intention of getting to know America. After a few months in New York, he came to Chicago, where he worked at the famous Edgewater Beach Hotel. Looking for a job in the travel industry he was hired by the Chicago Motor Club as a travel consultant in their International Travel Department, which he subsequently managed for more than 10 years.
Paul Klein contacted him in 1969 to offer him a partnership and eventual ownership of Paul Klein Travel. The rest is history.
Travel is his passion. He has been all over the world, always on the lookout for new, unusual destinations and special experiences to recommend to his loyal clientele. Juergen continues to be one of the most sought after travel advisors in the world and his reputation for in-depth knowledge on luxury travel is unequaled. Ask anyone in the travel industry about Juergen Krenzien, the first thing you will hear is: “He is a legend in the travel industry”.
Juergen’s affiliation with the world of travel extends over 50 years. He was one of the founding fathers of A.T.I. (Allied Travel) which is now Virtuoso. He has been on the advisory board of many cruise-lines, hotels, and trade organizations, and is theonly appointed life-time member of Virtuoso’s “On-Site Committee” that selects ground operators providing top service to our clients all over the world.
One of Juergen’s famous lines is “Been there, done that”. He has been everywhere and experienced almost every worthwhile event any luxury traveler could dream of. His relations with hoteliers, cruise lines and other travel suppliers spans decades. Juergen has seen them come and go. He was among the first to fly the Concorde in its inaugural season. He was on the last sailings of Cunard’s original Queen Mary, the Constitution and the Royal Viking Star and has seen more airlines come and go than most of us have flown on.
Juergen has been an invited guest, since it's inception, to the International Luxury Travel Mart held annually in Cannes.
Juergen continues to be the most trusted advisor of Paul Klein Travel’s customers.
2005 was a “Double Celebration”; Paul Klein Travel’s 60th anniversary and Juergen’s 50th year in travel!

Expert Bio
Ana-Marie grew up in Brookfield, Illinois and is now a proud resident of Chicago’s booming west side. Ana-Marie’s love for travel began at the young age of five, when her parents decided that she and her younger sister were ready for their first solo flights to visit relatives. Her parents are also responsible for introducing her to one of her favorite and most frequently visited travel destinations, Cancun, Mexico.
Ana-Marie attended Columbia College Chicago majoring in Arts, Business and Marketing. While in college, Ana-Marie worked at hotels throughout downtown Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. She eventually decided to leave Columbia and attend, then graduate from, Triton College Travel School.
After Travel School, Ana-Marie started out as a Caribbean and Ski specialist for Apple Vacations. In the past, Ana-Marie has also worked as an Italy, Rail, and Adventure Travel representative. Ana-Marie is delighted to be able to bring all of these past aspects of her career along with her exceptional ‘client comes first’ outlook, under one hat, as your Paul Klein Travel Consultant. When Ana-Marie is not personally customizing your desired itinerary, she is enthusiastically assisting and gaining knowledge from her mentors at Paul Klein Travel.
Ana’s most loved aspect of travel is getting to know the local people’s customs and of course, their cuisine. Some of Ana’s favorite trips have been whale spotting in the pacific, scaling ancient Mayan pyramids, zip lining through jungle canopies, and braving the rapids while white water rafting.
